‘It’s a game changer’: Skerries pharmacist welcomes new Common Conditions Service Mark O’Flaherty of Strand street pharmacy - Late Night Pharmacy says the new pharmacy prescribing service is already proving its worth locally, with patients now able to seek treatment for eight common conditions directly through participating pharmaciesThe new Common Conditions Service for pharmacies has only been up and running in Skerries since the end of March, but Mark already believes it represents a major step forward for patients.“In my view it is a game changer,” he tells Skerries News. “It opens up all new avenues for us and for the public as well.”Mark began offering the service in Strand Street Pharmacy on March 31, after completing what he describes as a “substantial” training course, including several modules to qualify for pharmacist prescribing.
