MCC Cleaning Services are currently looking for a proactive, ‘can do’ individual to take on the role of Cleaning Service Manager, responsible for monitoring and maintaining quality and standards of cleaning services across a number of contract sites. This role will be mobile and a full drivers licence is essential.
To oversee the quality and standards of cleaning services provided by at various client sites within a specific geographical area and assist the Managing Director in ensuring the profitability of individual contracts across the area.
Ensure business sector is fully compliant with Industry Standards, relevant employment legislation, JLC requirements, ISO and Company procedures & policies.
Effective mobilisation of all new contracts.
Ensure scheduled and unscheduled site visits are conducted regularly.
Develop a good working relationship with clients.
Responsible for the supervision of the cleaning operatives, including the management of rosters, monitoring progress and performance, determining work priorities, paying particular attention to productivity and quality control.
Responsible for ensuring health and safety standards are maintained on client sites.
To arrange/carry out the induction and ‘on the job’ training with cleaning operatives and ensure that all employees are trained to required standards.
To assist in co-ordinating disciplining and coaching of employees in conjunction with Human Resources in accordance with agreed policies.
To promote MCC Cleaning Services at all times, seeking to avail of any business opportunity which may present itself.
To liaise with Human Resources on the provision of relief cleaning personnel as required.
To prepare, maintain and update work schedules and checklists for each of your sites.
Leaving certificate or a higher level education.
A background in HR or experience in People Management would be an advantage.
Previous experience working within the cleaning industry is desirable but not essential, however previous experience in supervising people is essential.
Must have excellent PC and Organisational skills.
Fluency in the English language is required.
Strong time management / prioritisation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Structured and Organised.
Excellent Customer Service Skills.
Must have excellent communication and influencing skills – This role will require interaction at all levels within the Company and also with Customers.
Strong leadership skills – Proven ability to lead and motivate a team and achieve results.
Highly flexible with a demonstrated willingness to take on a responsible approach to any issues arising within their area.
Be a team player with the ability to develop and and maintain good interpersonal relationships.
Full driver’s license is essential as this is a mobile role.
